After graduating from a prestigious University musical theater program, I still could not find my true voice. I wasn't able to sing in a consistently correct manner. Randy was able to realign my voice, making it sound like one firm instrument from the chest on up. While studying with Randy I was blessed with a string of theatrical successes in Chicago, and later that same year was cast in the new Broadway revival of "Gypsy" starring Bernadette Peters and directed by Academy Award winning Sam Mendes. I still work with Randy when I am back in Chicago and vocalize with my tapes religiously here in New York. I am so thankful to Randy for helping me discover a true, strong voice that has not only brought me continued success, but also the confidence to believe I can contend with the "Big Time." Thank you, Randy!

I have had the pleasure of working with some young aspiring singers all trained by Randy. Their talent and devotion is absolutely amazing. He really brings out their full vocal abilities. His industry ties also seem to reach from coast to coast. He is truly one of the best!

Trained in a classical manner, my musical theater 'belt" was simply a process of pulling chest too high. After ten months of performing in Mamma Mia, this lack of 'belt understanding' wore at my voice resulting in extreme fatigue and other vocal issues. After visiting MANY doctors(all with bad advice), I found Dr. Bastian who recommended I see Randy. He believed that, of all teachers, Randy would be able to not only help me rehabilitate, but approach the musical theater belt in both an aesthetically pleasing AND healthy manner. Just as Dr. Bastian predicted, Randy's understanding of the voice is so deep that he has helped me relearn to sing in a way that serves the demands of musical theater but has taken the load off of my throat. I truly appreciate both his expertise and friendship. Thank you Randy! You are irreplaceable

After a few unsuccessful attempts with vocal coaches, I finally found someone that understood where I was coming from and where I wanted to be. Thanks Randy for bringing a voice out of my usual shriek.

I take may craft as a singer very seriously, as does Randy with his teaching. His dynamic personality and wealth of knowledge helped me greatly during the run of Lion King in Chicago. His ideas have also paved the way for an easier production that will aid me in the future.
Thank you for your time with me.

After years of vocal abuse including overuse, poor vocal technique, and working in smokey environments, I developed nodes on my chords. With Randy's help, I was able to reclaim my true voice, and less than six months later, I was cast in I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change. Since then, thanks to the combination of finally being out of the bar atmosphere, and continuing with Randy's techniques, my nodes have shrunk considerably, and I'm singing eight shows a week with more Comfort and Joy than I've had in years!! Thanks, Randy!

When I first met Randy, singing had become drudgery. I was a bundle of nerves and on the verge of giving up. First, Randy got me to relax. I immediately felt safe, centered, and tuned-in in his presence. Randy then proceeded to take my voice in a direction that solved a lot of the problems I encountered in my collegiate years and that allows me to sing in any style. I understand now that singing is singing. Whether your preference is to sing opera, musical theater, or pop, or rock, or whatever, the approach is still the same. With Randy's expert assistance, I found my voice and rediscovered the joy of singing.
Thank you, Randy!
